Prince Louis Rwagasore, eldest son of the Burundian King (mwami) Mwambutsa IV, was instrumental in working towards Burundi's independence. Unfortunately, he was assassinated 8 months 19 days before Independence Day (July 1, 1962). He advocated for unity in Burundi, which is something we strongly believe in. So we honor him with this design.
